This week's piece of advice is when you start out playing on a new survival map, is to make a furnace once you have the materials, put logs or saplings in the top slot and put some fuel in the bottom slot. Once its done cooking, it will give you a piece of charcoal, and when you combine it with a stick, it will give you 4 torches.
